Police are looking for three men who robbed two taxi drivers during the weekend.

On Saturday morning about 11:20 a.m., there men got into a taxi in front of the 7-Eleven in Portsmouth, according to a police news release. The men told the driver they wanted to be taken to Del Mar Lane in Newport News.

When they arrived on Del Mar Lane, two of the men held the driver while the third man robbed him, police wrote in the release. The men stole cash and the driver’s cell phone before getting out of the car.

About four hours later, the three men hailed another taxi in front of the In and Out Food Store at Warwick and Bland boulevards, the release says. The three men got into the taxi and told the driver they wanted to be taken to Portsmouth.

Once they got to Portsmouth, the men robbed the driver the same way they had robbed the first driver, the release says.

The three men are described as black and about 5 feet, nine inches tall, the release says. One of the men had dreadlocks that were to his shoulders. All three were wearing black, baggy clothes.
