'Taxi marshals' to curb drunken revellers
Taxi marshals' are set to tackle renegade cabbies and drunken louts as part of a drive to straighten out Windsor's nightlife and end a trail of destruction.
The royal borough's first taxi marshals will begin patrolling Windsor's glitzy club district of Goswell Hill and Bridgewater Way next month.
Clad in high visibility jackets and equipped with radios the marshals are to supervise queues for private-hire vehicles ensuring revellers keep away from potential trouble.
Kicking off on July 4 the 12 week pilot scheme is being run by the Windsor and Eton Town Partnership.
