Cabbie Left Kettle Star Kev Boiling
SINGING Kettle star Kevin McLeod was once knocked down by a taxi outside the Edinburgh Playhouse.
But rather than being mortally wounded he was mortally embarrassed at the tailback he caused.
What was your first car?
A C-reg Austin Maestro HL called Dudley. I bought it from my friend's mum for £1000. It was like driving a comfy sofa.
What do you drive now?
My wife and I have two Citroens - a Picasso and an old Xsara.
What do you like to listen to on the move?
Radio 2 mostly - which my wife calls Old Man radio. Or I love to hit shuffle on the iPod and sing along.
Would you replace a puncture or call for help?
Replace it.
Most embarrassing moment?
I was knocked down by a taxi on a crossing outside the Edinburgh Playhouse. Though I wasn't at fault I found the ensuing hold-up absolutely mortifying.
Dream car?
It has to be the Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir special edition. They cost around £1million.
The Singing Kettle in Pirate Island is at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre, July 12 and 13.
