Taxi driver appeal
POLICE are appealing for a taxi driver to come forward after a man was stabbed in Dudley on Sunday afternoon.
Officers believe the taxi driver may have vital information regarding the incident in Beddows Avenue on May 25 just after 5pm when a 21-year-old man received a stab wound to his hand.
He was taken to hospital and released following treatment.
The taxi driver was driving a silver Vauxhall Astra estate private hire vehicle which had yellow signs on the roof and side. The taxi had taken a man and a woman to Beddows Avenue.
The woman passenger had blonde hair and had stayed in the vehicle - following the incident the woman was then taken to another location.
A 27-year-old local man was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of wounding and is currently helping police with their enquiries.
Anyone with information, particularly the taxi driver, is asked to contact CID at Brierley Hill police station on 0845 113 5000 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
