Girl injured after taxi collision
A Teesside teenager is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a taxi.
The 16-year-old girl was crossing Marsh House Avenue in Billingham on Sunday evening when she was hit by a Citroen Zara Picasso taxi.
Police said the teenager, who has not been named, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital.
Cleveland Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
The 36-year-old taxi driver was treated for shock, but otherwise uninjured.
