Man's head injured in taxi fall

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with head injuries when he fell from a Cardiff taxi.

The man tumbled from a black-and-white people carrier cab around 0220 BST on Thursday after it stopped on Castle Street to let out a male passenger.

As the car pulled away, the second man fell from an unsecured door. The taxi, which had been travelling in the direction of Canton, did not stop.

The man was in a stable condition in the University Hospital of Wales.
