Taxi driver in cyclist road rage attack

Witnesses are wanted to a road rage attack in which a taxi driver got out of his cab and pushed a cyclist off his bicycle.

The assault happened in Riverside Road, Norwich, after the cyclist, in his mid-20s, was involved in a heated exchanged with the taxi driver.

While opposite the Fitness First gym, the taxi driver got out and pushed the cyclist over, leaving him with cuts and bruises to his knee and ankle.

The incident happened on Monday, April 14, at about 5.15pm.

Investigating officer PC Stuart Dyer said: “Clearly this incident happened at a very busy time of day in a busy area and it is likely that passing motorists and pedestrians would have seen what happened.

“I am keen to hear from anyone with any information.”
