KATE Moss became Britain's most glamorous cabbie on an outing with rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince.

She picked up Kills guitarist Jamie in the £40,000 hackney cab friends bought her as a gift and - like a real pro - sat in the front with her "fare" in the back.

The couple, who are reported to be planning to marry, headed out to a London pub for lunch in the vehicle, which they have already begun to customise.

An onlooker said: "Kate must be the best looking cabbie in London. And she looked like a true pro as she chatted to Jamie in the back."

Mum-of-one Kate, 34, has wanted a hackney cab of her own for years but never expected the gift.

A group of pals are said to have clubbed together to buy it as a belated birthday present and thank-you for all the gifts she has given them over the years.

The taxi has now been fitted with a steering wheel personalised with her initials and friends have joked she may add leopardskin-print seats and furry dice.

Other famous cab owners have included Prince Philip and comedian Stephen Fry. Happy Mondays star Bez had his customised on the TV show Pimp My Ride.
