A 17-year-old man has been arrested after a road crash involving a car and a black cab in the West Midlands.

Emergency crews were called to Damson Parkway, Solihull, shortly before 2300 GMT on Tuesday.

The 49-year-old driver of the taxi suffered serious chest injuries and the taxi's male passenger was also hurt.

Police said the 17-year-old was arrested at the scene and they were looking for others who may have fled after the crash.

Officers urged anyone with information to contact them.
