WE know we asked our readers to go to extra lengths for charity – but Ray Woodcock is going to new heights.

The taxi driver from Eastwood has set his sights on scaling the might of Ojos del Salado, the highest volcano in the world which sits on the border of Argentina and Chile.

And money raised from the 65-year-old’s magnificent effort will go towards Yellow Advertiser’s Just A Minute campaign in aid of Little Havens Children’s Hospice.

But kind-hearted Ray will not be going it alone – his son, Marc, 28, a financier, will be joining his father in the quest.

Ray said: “It’s not just something that you can do off the hat, Marc and I are going to be working hard to train for it.
