Would you please pipe down driver?
THIS taxi driver knows how to drive away his customers as he makes a racket on the bagpipes.
John Ross is given a few pointers from Pipe Major Craig Martin as he started his training as an ambassador for the World Pipe Band Championships and Piping Live.
He's one of 3000-plus black cab drivers being recruited to welcome visitors to the event at Glasgow Green next month.
Thousands of tourists and competitors will descend on Glasgow and organisers are making sure they get a warm reception from the moment they arrive.
A spokesman for Culture & Sport Glasgow, which is organising the championships, said: "Our taxi drivers are well known for their friendly banter and for giving advice and we want to make sure they have all of the information they need at their fingertips."
Up to 250 bands and 8000 pipers from Europe, Australia, North America, South America and New Zealand will take part in the championships and its sister event Piping Live! which are expected to draw a crowd of 25,000.
Piping Live! runs from August 6 until the main competitions on August 11.
