Taxi driver threatened by youth
Police are examining CCTV footage in a bid to trace a youth who tried to rob a 61-year-old taxi driver in Dundee.
The incident happened in the city's Mull Terrace around 2355 BST on Friday.
The taxi driver was driving his silver Vauxhall Vectra on Kingsway East when he was flagged down by the man who asked to be taken Mull Terrace.
When the driver stopped the car at the destination, the youth threatened him and demanded his takings. Police have appealed for information.
The taxi driver managed to drive off uninjured and the suspect fled empty-handed.
He is described as being between 18 and 20-years-old, around 5ft 10in tall, of slim build and he had short hair.
He was wearing a baseball cap and a green and white coloured top and did not speak with a local accent.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who remembers seeing a youth matching that description to get in touch with Tayside Police in Dundee.
