Two men assault taxi cab driver
Two men punched, kneed and yelled at a cab driver on Canada Day, leading to charges, city police said.
Police said two passengers yelled at the driver because they disagreed with the route he was taking to get to their destination.
At the destination, police said, the driver got out to remove some property from the trunk, at which point the two men assaulted him.
The men ran away when a second cab driver arrived and called police. The driver did not require treatment for his injuries, police said. Patrick Ventour, 34, of New Brunswick, was charged with assault and appeared in court yesterday.
John Flynn, 44, of Towerhill Road, was also charged with assault and is to appear in court July 19.
