Pub minicab bid turned down
RESIDENTS have won a fight to stop a garage being converted into a minicab office.
The garage, owned by St Albans District Council, is in the car park of the King Offa pub in Wallingford Walk, St Albans.
The pub operating company King Offa Ltd, had applied for permission to convert it into a minicab office but local residents had protested that it would increase traffic problems in the area and generate noise and disturbance if it operated 24-hours a day, seven-days a week.
