SINGAPORE : ComfortDelGro has acquired a 70 percent stake in Birmingham taxi company, Your Taxi Limited, for some S$1 million.

The move is part of its strategy to grow its presence in the United Kingdom.

Following the acquisition, Your Taxi has been renamed Computer Cab Limited.

With a fleet of 121 cars on its radio circuit, Computer Cab has won significant corporate account business from Taxi Owners Association.

The Birmingham firm also recently acquired a private hire vehicle, Birmingham Radio Cars.

According to ComfortDelGro, Computer Cab has corporate customers based in London and Edinburgh, where ComfortDelGro also has operations.
