Taxi driver 'stabbed wife in the neck'
By Steve Kelly
A TAXI driver stabbed his wife in the neck after she had sex with a colleague, a court heard.
Warrington Crown Court was told how Anthony Green, of Wavertree Avenue, Widnes, stabbed his Philippino wife Marietta three times with a kitchen knife at their home on Sunday, July 30 last year.
Marietta, aged 46, said: "He said that if I ever cheated on him he would kill me," she said. "He told that to me many times.

"I just remember trying to push him away. I could feel the stabs, but I couldn't feel the pain.
"I remember thinking I am going to die'."
Green, aged 47, became incensed by her infidelity following a night out with colleagues the Friday before the attack.
However, Simon Berkson, defending, said Green denied making threats to kill.
"What he in fact said was he would kick you out of the house if you ever cheated, which he carried out."
Green, who was remanded in custody, was charged with attempted murder and wounding with intent.
The trial continues.
